I made a couple trips back to the buffet, adding pancakes, eggs, salads, and other items to my plate. I dined here for breakfast and I was impressed at the number of foods available and the better than average quality of food served. This is a large buffet with seating for several hundred people and a variety of foods that exceeds that of other buffets. As the old adage goes, however, every rule has an exception and one of them is the Garden Buffet, located inside the South Point Hotel and Casino. And the service is usually below average as wait staff attempts to satisfy far too many customers, most of whom need assistance only in a few areas but are demanding regardless. The food is usually left to sit for a long period of time, deteriorating with each passing minute. One problem is the food- it is often prepared without individual care and tastes inferior in quality. I’ve never been a fan of buffets and my reasons are similar to those of others who try to avoid them.
